Napkin.ai, a startup in visual artificial intelligence, has announced the launch of a new tool that can convert text such as business plans, presentations, and press releases into images to better convey complex ideas.

The company aims to help people improve communication efficiency and easily explain their ideas, which is particularly important in the era of information overload. To achieve this, Napkin.ai is pioneering a new technology called "visual generative artificial intelligence" that allows users to tell better stories through images.

The tool aims to popularize graphic design and enable users to easily explain their ideas without spending hours creating visual elements that match the content of their documents.

Users simply need to paste their existing documents into Napkin.ai's text box and click on the spark icon next to any part of the text to convert the selected text into a series of recommended visual images. For example, users can upload a detailed business plan that explains various sources of revenue for their proposed company, and the tool will convert it into an eye-catching chart that clearly illustrates the profit model.

Pramod Sharma, co-founder of Napkin.ai, said that just as Apple allows everyone to take beautiful photos with an iPhone, his company aims to do the same in the field of graphic design. "Visual elements are very powerful, and our intention in designing Napkin is to enable everyone to easily convey their ideas through beautiful images," he said.

Napkin.ai also offers various customization tools, allowing users to choose a recommended graphic from the generated options and then adjust elements such as font, color, shape, and design to ensure that the graphic aligns with their brand and style guidelines.

In addition, Napkin.ai integrates with a range of common enterprise content platforms, such as Google Slides and Docs, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, Substack, Medium, Slack, Notion, LinkedIn, Instagram, and more.

It is said that this tool supports almost any document work scenario that requires the creation of graphics, including presentations, blog articles, proposal presentations, social media content, press releases, data and research reports, and customer communications.

Napkin.ai currently offers over 30 types of graphics, including mind maps, flowcharts, Venn diagrams, bar charts, and pie charts. The team plans to regularly update the platform to add more powerful customization features and graphic formats.

Jason Miller, Chief Operating Officer of SproutsAI Inc., an autonomous AI agent startup, said that despite not having natural design skills, he has fallen in love with Napkin.ai's super simple and convenient functionality.

"Whether I need to quickly create a chart for a blog article or a presentation, Napkin can generate the content I need in seconds," he said. "Before Napkin, we were limited in terms of accessible graphics, but now we have a designer at our fingertips who provides us with unlimited access to enhance our business storytelling visually."
