Zhihu recently launched the "Smart Title" feature in its latest app update, allowing users to quickly generate titles with the help of AI capabilities when creating "ideas," thereby improving efficiency and quality. This feature is developed based on Zhihu's self-developed Chinese large-scale model "Zhihaitu AI" and its supervised fine-tuning ability. It supports the automatic generation of titles when users input text of more than 50 characters, with an offline evaluation availability rate of over 95%. Currently, this feature has been applied in the "ideas" creation scenario and will be expanded to more creative scenarios such as Q&A and articles in the future. Zhihu has not responded to this matter. "Zhihaitu AI" is the first Chinese large-scale model launched by Zhihu in April 2023. It has billions of parameters and possesses stronger logical reasoning ability and faster training and inference speed. This large-scale model has been widely applied in Zhihu's hierarchical, classification, interest understanding, and search business scenarios, reducing manual annotation by over 90% and generally improving business precision and recall effects by over 15%. In addition, "Zhihaitu AI" has also been implemented in business scenarios such as paid reading and vocational education, realizing intelligent image matching for Salt Talk stories and launching innovative features such as AI intelligent essay correction, intelligent homework correction, and AI academic affairs navigator for intelligent teaching products. Starting from November, the "Zhihaitu AI" large-scale model has gradually opened its services to the public, accelerating the product implementation process. The launch of the smart title feature is one of its product innovation attempts to empower creators. Zhihu's founder and CEO, Zhou Yuan, recently stated at the 2023 World Internet Conference that Zhihu has made a firm investment in the large-scale model field and believes that large-scale models can bring Zhihu a lot of imagination and opportunities. He believes that "on the basis of improving efficiency, large-scale models will release a lot of space occupied by inefficient work, allowing everyone to do more innovative things."
