Amazon Music Unveils AI-Powered Playlist Creation Tool Maestro
Amazon Music may introduce a new feature that allows users to create personalized playlists using an AI playlist creation tool called Maestro, by inputting text prompts.
According to a blog post by Amazon, Maestro is currently in a testing phase and is only available to a small group of Amazon Music subscribers in the United States. This innovative feature enables users to generate playlists using any prompts, including emojis. Users can not only save these AI-generated playlists but also share them with other Amazon Music users. The blog post provides some suggestive prompts, such as "music loved by grandparents" and "discover what songs my friends listen to when they go out without me."
This functionality is similar to Spotify's AI-generated playlists, which have already been launched for Premium users in the United Kingdom and Australia. Users can easily create personalized playlists by using text prompts.
The Maestro feature will be available exclusively through the Amazon Music application. Users who have access to the testing version can find Maestro on the app's homepage or by clicking the plus sign to create a new playlist. They simply need to input or speak their prompts, and Maestro will construct the playlist based on these prompts.
For Prime Music subscribers and users who listen to ads for free, they can decide whether they like the playlists generated by Maestro after a 30-second preview and choose to save them for later complete listening. Amazon Music Unlimited users can immediately listen to and save the complete playlists.
Amazon emphasizes that Maestro may not always provide accurate results due to its early stage of development. To address this, the company has implemented a series of protective measures, including blocking inappropriate language and offensive prompts. Amazon Music will gradually expand the promotion of Maestro based on user feedback.
In recent years, Amazon has been actively utilizing AI technology to optimize its various services. In addition to Maestro in Amazon Music, the company has also introduced a chatbot called Rufus for retail customers, providing a more convenient and intelligent shopping experience.
