Asana Launches AI Studio to Automate Repetitive Tasks for Enterprise Teams

2024-10-24

Asana recently launched AI Studio, a new feature designed to help enterprise teams create and deploy no-code AI assistants to handle repetitive tasks directly within their workflows. This tool aims to alleviate employees' workloads, freeing them from administrative chores that currently take up more than half of their workdays.

Asana's AI assistants act as digital coworkers, automatically coordinating projects and managing routine tasks within workflows. Users can customize these AI assistants according to their needs, allowing them to handle various tasks from receiving project requests to drafting content and generating reports.

Dustin Moskovitz, Asana's CEO and co-founder, stated that the company introduced a no-code builder that allows users to design workflows by simply issuing commands to the AI in natural language. This ease and accessibility in building AI assistants represent a significant advancement for companies looking to enhance work quality and accelerate team operations.

Clear Channel Outdoor has utilized AI Studio and reported a 60% reduction in manual workload during its creative production process, saving approximately 15 hours per request. Financial services company Morningstar has decreased project intake time by two weeks through AI-driven workflows.

AI Studio operates on four language models provided by Anthropic and OpenAI. To prevent errors, users can request manual approval for sensitive operations such as sending external emails. Additionally, the system logs the AI's decision-making process, allowing users to track and understand the reasons behind specific choices made by the AI assistants.

Currently, AI Studio is available to users of Asana's Enterprise and Enterprise+ editions, with the free version offering limited usage and the paid versions catering to broader needs. Asana plans to make this feature accessible to more subscription tiers in the near future.
