7AI Platform Launches Autonomous AI Agents to Streamline Secure Operations

A security startup specializing in AI, 7AI, has today unveiled a new platform designed to redefine security operations by delegating critical "non-human tasks" to autonomous AI agents.

The 7AI platform utilizes a specialized team of AI agents that differ from the typical AI analysts, chatbots, and co-pilots found in AI security operation centers. These agents are capable of handling repetitive security tasks rapidly, comprehensively, and autonomously. Similar to other companies aiming to replace human roles with AI, 7AI claims this enables highly skilled cybersecurity professionals to focus on higher-value work that enhances security outcomes.

AI agents are autonomous software programs created to analyze data, make decisions, and perform tasks without human intervention. The company states these agents operate within predefined rules or use machine learning for adaptation and improvement, making them ideal for automating repetitive or complex processes across various fields.

The 7AI agents aim to address the issue where cybersecurity staff spends time on essential but non-creative tasks such as alert triage, signal enrichment, telemetry correlation, and known threat hunting. The company believes that although these tasks are crucial, they are also time-consuming, making them perfect candidates for AI agents in an industry suffering from a long-term shortage of trained personnel.

The autonomous swarm agents provided by 7AI classify alerts based on their nature—whether related to endpoint detection and response, cloud security, email threats, or identity management—and then dispatch appropriate specialized agents for investigation.

Once deployed, 7AI's expert agents query multiple data sources within the given organization in parallel to ensure thorough threat analysis. The findings are then compiled into actionable insights and integrated into the analyst's workflow, ticketing systems, or automated playbooks for resolution.

Beyond automation, 7AI's agents leverage enterprise insights to make decisions consistent with internal policies, roles, and unique risk environments of the company. The agent's contextual awareness enables the platform to reduce false positives, improve response accuracy, and provide customized security solutions that evolve with organizational needs.

Our mission is not about making people more efficient at non-human tasks but about assigning tedious yet necessary tasks to faster, more consistent, and infinitely scalable AI agents," said Lior Div, co-founder and CEO.

7AI was founded last year by Div and Yonatan Striem-Amit, who previously established Cybereason, a cybersecurity platform provider. The company received $36 million in seed funding from Greylock Partners, Spark Capital, and CRV.
