Recently, leading domestic cloud computing service provider Alibaba Cloud and cutting-edge large model enterprise Zero One Infinity officially announced a deep strategic partnership in the field of model platform business. This collaboration signifies the establishment of a "Joint Laboratory for Industrial Large Models," aimed at accelerating the transition of large model technology from research and development to practical application, while further strengthening the ecosystem of industrial large models.

The joint laboratory will cover multiple core areas including technology research and development, business expansion, and talent cultivation. By integrating both parties' extensive experience and innovative capabilities in the field of large models, the laboratory will focus on exploring next-generation foundational model technologies and promoting the practical application of these advanced technological achievements in various industries. This will create a complete chain from technology research and development to industrial services. Both parties will leverage Alibaba Cloud's Bai Lian large model platform to introduce a series of innovative solutions to the market through its model service layer.

The collaboration between Alibaba Cloud and Zero One Infinity dates back to June 2024, when Zero One Infinity's Yi-Large and other series of large models were successfully integrated into Alibaba Cloud's Bai Lian platform. This marked the first time Zero One Infinity provided API services through a cloud vendor channel, significantly expanding the boundaries of its technology applications.

Zero One Infinity, founded in 2023 by Kai-Fu Lee, Chairman and CEO of Sinovation Ventures, has been a focal point in the industry since its inception. It is reported that Alibaba Cloud, as a lead investor, provided significant support to Zero One Infinity during the company's early stages, laying a solid foundation for their long-term cooperation.
