During a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Dario Amodei, CEO of Anthropic, announced plans to introduce an innovative "two-way" voice mode for their chatbot, Claude. This new feature aims to enable more natural and smooth interactions between users and Claude, significantly enhancing user experience.
In addition to the two-way voice mode, Claude will also be equipped with a new memory function. This feature will allow Claude to retain more information about users and their previous conversations, providing more personalized services. Amodei stated that these new features would further elevate Claude's intelligence levels, enabling it to better meet user needs.
However, as user demand continues to grow, Anthropic faces significant challenges. Amodei acknowledged that over the past year, especially in the last three months, the company has experienced a surge in demand that has exceeded its current computational capacity. To address this issue, Anthropic is actively seeking new solutions and plans to launch more advanced AI models in the coming months.
In the highly competitive AI industry, Anthropic strives to keep pace with its main rival, OpenAI. Despite raising $13.7 billion in funding, reports indicate that Anthropic incurred losses amounting to several billion dollars last year. To maintain competitiveness and drive sustained growth, Anthropic is currently negotiating with potential investors to raise approximately $2 billion more, valuing the company at $60 billion.
