In the latest "iNEW Strategy" released, Wang Jian'er, Chairman of Shanghai Film Group, proposed the "iPAi Planet Plan", aiming to promote the integration of IP and AI technology, promote the digitalization of network intelligence, integrated business expansion, and global ecological construction. Wang Jian'er mentioned at the press conference that with the trend led by Open AI's released text-to-video large-scale model Sora, Shanghai Film must actively adapt to this change, gather resources from all parties, break through innovation, and seize new opportunities. In the future, Shanghai Film will combine AI technology to focus on two major directions: revitalizing IP content and commercial development. In terms of revitalizing IP content, Shanghai Film has launched excellent works such as "Flowers", "Chinese Tales", and "Love Mythology", and released 38 main control film and television works. Starting from 2024, Shanghai Film will accelerate the application of AI technology in content creation and film production, and plan to release at least two high-quality IP content revitalization works every year to reshape the image of the super animation brand. To achieve this goal, Shanghai Film will take three major actions: first, explore the Chinese animation school AI model, establish a research and development community, and increase the intensity of technological breakthroughs; second, launch the global creator program, attract technical and creative talents from around the world through projects such as the "Shanghai Film AI Film Marathon"; third, implement the "IP+AI" empowering commercial development plan, and accelerate the commercialization process of a massive IP reserve. In terms of IP commercial development, Shanghai Film has achieved significant results, with the total GMV of IP authorized products exceeding 1 billion yuan in 2023. In the next three years, Shanghai Film plans to expand IP cooperation products to five major fields, more than 30 industries, and over 500 brands, covering 30 provinces nationwide, and strive to achieve a target of over 10 billion yuan in GMV of cooperative products. To achieve this goal, Shanghai Film will promote "mega infrastructure projects", including the establishment of multiple regional headquarters offline and the creation of bases for content, e-commerce, supply chain, and cultural tourism, and the creation of a member e-commerce system platform online, integrating group resources, and building and expanding an industrialized network. As part of this program, the "Shanghai Film AI Film Marathon" has been officially launched, calling for creative works in the direction of "film+AI" and "IP+AI" globally. Shanghai Film plans to open up the classic IP "Nezha Conquers the Sea" for a three-month AI derivative work collection activity and invites well-known industry experts to serve as judges. The winners will receive support in terms of complete film guarantee, distribution channels, and commercial landing of products.
