Apple May Unveil the All-New iPhone SE 4 with Full-Screen Design Next Week

2025-02-07

After much speculation, Apple appears ready to finally unveil the redesigned iPhone SE 4. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, this highly anticipated entry-level iPhone may be announced as early as next week and is expected to hit the market later in the month.

Insiders have indicated that Apple plans to officially announce this new device next week. Notably, Gurman added that Apple might not host a special event for the launch of the iPhone SE 4, suggesting that the release could be handled in a more low-key manner.

Analysts believe that the revamped iPhone SE could be the only new product Apple launches next week, which will undoubtedly draw significant attention from consumers.

The new iPhone SE is expected to feature an all-new design, eliminating the Home button in favor of a popular edge-to-edge display and incorporating Face ID functionality. Additionally, Apple will replace the traditional Lightning port with USB-C, offering users a more convenient charging experience.

In terms of hardware, the new iPhone SE is expected to come equipped with Apple's latest A18 chip and borrow design cues from the iPhone 14, enhancing both performance and aesthetics significantly.

Meanwhile, the current iPhone SE (third generation) still relies on the 2017 iPhone 8 design. However, with the release of the new iPhone SE, Apple is also expected to support Apple Intelligence features, aligning it with the iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, and future iPhone 16 series, further elevating user experiences.

Beyond external changes, the iPhone SE 4 will also see significant internal upgrades. It's anticipated that Apple will transition from Qualcomm modems to its own chips for cellular connectivity, marking the first time Apple has implemented this technology in its products.

For consumers, the timing of the iPhone SE 4's release may come as a surprise, as many had expected it to arrive in March. Nevertheless, the newly designed iPhone SE promises to deliver an enhanced user experience regardless of the timeline.

Moreover, Apple is actively developing several other new products. Reports suggest that a MacBook Air featuring the M4 chip and the 11th-generation iPad are currently in development. These upcoming releases will expand Apple's product lineup, catering to the diverse needs of consumers.
