Elgato Unveils New Version of Wave Link Audio Streaming Control Software

2025-02-05

Recently, Elgato has introduced a new version of its audio streaming control software, Wave Link. This iteration features an innovative AI-powered microphone voice enhancement function and includes a brand-new system-level management tool. This tool can redirect audio streams to specific applications, achieving separate audio outputs for users and audiences, adding audio effects, and swiftly muting various channels.

At present, users can download the latest 2.0 version update, which is compatible with Elgato hardware, including the company's microphones and Stream Deck control ecosystem.

In this update, Elgato collaborates with audio machine learning firm AIcoustics to integrate the Voice Focus feature into the Wave Link program. This function eliminates noise and resolves acoustic issues, ensuring that users achieve professional-grade audio quality regardless of room conditions.

Furthermore, Wave Link 2.0 supports audio effects and allows users to add custom plugins for desired sound effects. However, it is worth noting that to use Wave Link and its low-latency audio mixing capabilities, users need to be equipped with Elgato microphones or Stream Deck Plus.

In terms of functionality, Wave Link 2.0 now more closely resembles SteelSeries GG by taking over the entire Windows audio process. It enables users to have full control over audio routing or group applications into the same input channel to ensure certain audio remains synchronized. Wave Link can create customized Stream Deck control buttons and adds the "Add to Stream Deck" feature, allowing users to quickly adjust the volume of each managed audio stream. It can even display a volume slider spanning multiple buttons, enabling users to instantly understand the current volume level. Additionally, the software works in conjunction with Stream Deck foot pedals and the dial controls of Stream Deck Plus.
