Coralogix Acquires Aporia to Enhance AI Workload Observability and Security

2024-12-24

Recently, the well-funded observability platform Coralogix announced its acquisition of Aporia, a startup specializing in AI workload monitoring and security tools for enterprises. The acquisition aims to help companies set up safeguards in their AI systems to prevent hallucinations (i.e., errors or misleading outputs generated by AI) and unintended data leaks.

As part of the acquisition, Coralogix will launch a dedicated AI research center, Coralogix AI, which will be led by Aporia's co-founder and CEO Liran Hason and CTO Alon Gubkin. Aporia's technology will be integrated into Coralogix's services.

This acquisition is significant for Coralogix, as it enables the hundreds of AI teams already using Coralogix to benefit from high-quality visibility, protection, and control for managing their AI systems. Founded in 2014, Coralogix offers a wide range of monitoring, analytics, and security services, including its own AI tools, but it previously lacked specialized tools for monitoring AI systems. The acquisition of Aporia fills this gap.

Aporia, founded in 2019, has been focused on machine learning even before the recent surge in large language models. Since its inception, the company has raised $30 million in funding, with the most recent round being a $25 million Series A in 2022, backed by investors such as Tiger Global, TLV Partners, Samsung Next, and Vertex Ventures.

The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, but the deal aligns with the current market trend where large enterprise platforms are acquiring point solutions to meet the demand for full-stack platforms and adapt to changes in corporate budgets.

With the completion of this acquisition, Coralogix states that it will further strengthen its strategic commitment to the AI field and provide customers with the best technology. The new research center will foster AI innovation and collaboration, offering the tools and environment needed to drive the future development of AI systems.
