Microsoft is currently previewing a real-time translation feature on Copilot Plus computers for both Intel and AMD platforms. This feature is now available to Windows 11 Developer Channel Insider Preview users, enabling them to translate audio from over 44 languages into English subtitles in real time.
The real-time translation feature was initially launched on Copilot Plus computers with Qualcomm chips. It can translate any audio played through the Copilot Plus computer, whether it's from YouTube videos, live video conferences, or recordings. As long as the audio is in a supported language, Windows 11 can display English subtitles in real time. The supported languages include Spanish, French, Russian, Chinese, Korean, Arabic, and more.
Microsoft has been gradually introducing more AI features to Copilot Plus computers on Intel and AMD platforms. Earlier this month, Microsoft began testing the Recall feature on devices with Intel and AMD chips. This feature captures snapshots of user activities on the Copilot Plus computer and allows users to recall specific memories.
Additionally, Microsoft is rolling out an update for the real-time translation feature on Copilot Plus computers with Qualcomm chips. Windows 11 Developer Channel Insider Preview users can now translate certain languages into Simplified Chinese.
