On March 21st, Baidu Intelligent Cloud held the Qianfan Product Launch Event, unveiling three lightweight large-scale models: ERNIE Speed, ERNIE Lite, and ERNIE Tiny. These models, compared to traditional models with billions of parameters, have smaller parameter sizes, providing customers with more convenient and efficient model fine-tuning solutions in specific use cases. ERNIE Speed, ERNIE Lite, and ERNIE Tiny are optimized for different scenario requirements, with decreasing parameter sizes. ERNIE Speed is suitable as a base model for specific scenarios, achieving a perfect balance between model performance and inference efficiency. ERNIE Lite focuses on using low-power AI acceleration cards for inference, meeting the dual requirements of cost and performance. ERNIE Tiny is designed specifically for ultra-low cost and low-latency applications, helping customers achieve optimal results with limited resources. In addition, Baidu Intelligent Cloud's ModelBuilder, relying on Baidu's rich business experience, has launched two vertical scenario large-scale models: ERNIE Character and ERNIE Functions. ERNIE Character focuses on role-playing applications such as game NPCs and customer service dialogues, helping enterprises create more vivid and natural interactive experiences. ERNIE Functions is optimized for tool invocation scenarios, enabling more efficient use of external tools and business functions in conversations, improving work efficiency. It is worth mentioning that enterprises no longer need to go through the cumbersome process of model fine-tuning. They can directly apply these proprietary models to develop intelligent assistants, achieving rapid deployment and launch.
