Vidu, a pioneering AI video generation platform in China, has officially launched its latest model, Vidu 2.0. This advanced version significantly enhances video production efficiency. Specifically, it can now generate a 4-second, 512P resolution clip in less than 10 seconds. The specially introduced Vidu 2.0-4s-512 model reduces the cost of generating each second of video to just 4 cents, providing users with a more affordable video creation experience.

In addition to improved efficiency, Vidu 2.0 also boasts enhanced visual effects. According to the platform, the new model offers greater consistency in style and theme, resulting in smoother transitions between the first and last frames of generated videos, thereby improving both the aesthetics and professionalism of the content. Moreover, Vidu 2.0 features an off-peak mode that allows unlimited video generation during low-demand periods without consuming any credits, offering users greater flexibility.

Vidu 2.0 supports the simultaneous creation of up to four video clips, significantly boosting user productivity and convenience. However, it currently does not support direct video generation from text, though this feature is expected to be added in future updates.

Concurrently, Vidu's Chinese website has been launched, optimized specifically for domestic users. The new site streamlines the registration process and adopts a user interface tailored to Chinese preferences, making it easier for users to navigate. Additionally, the Chinese site supports local payment methods, enhancing payment convenience and security for users.
