Anthropic commits to releasing Artifacts system hints soon.

Anthropic recently released system prompts for its Claude model series, but the release was incomplete and lacked information about the new feature, Artifacts. In response to researchers' feedback, Anthropic stated that it will provide additional details about the Artifacts system prompts in the coming weeks.

Last week, Artifacts functionality was officially made available to the public, allowing users to run code snippets while conversing with Claude. Although other members of the Claude family have already announced their system prompts, Artifacts was not included as it had not been fully launched at the time of the prompt release.

System prompts are not essential public components for AI models, but they reveal the model's behavior guidelines and why certain requests may be rejected. Making these prompts transparent can help more people understand how the model operates.

According to the published system prompt documentation, the Claude 3.5 Sonnet version prioritizes accuracy and conciseness when answering questions, without explicitly indicating sensitive information or directly rejecting requests, while avoiding the use of filler phrases or apologies.

The larger model version, Claude 3 Opus, has a knowledge base updated until August 2023 and can discuss controversial topics while avoiding stereotypes, striving for balanced perspectives. On the other hand, the smallest version, Claude 3 Haiku, emphasizes speed and does not have behavior guidelines like Claude 3.5 Sonnet.

Currently, the specific system prompts for Artifacts are not clear. However, researchers speculate that this feature may be designed to systematically handle complex problems and focus on providing concise answers to queries.
