Samsung Unpacked 2025: AI-Powered Galaxy S25 Series Smartphones Launched

During the annual "Unpacked" event, Samsung consistently unveils a new flagship smartphone lineup. As anticipated, on January 22, 2025, Samsung officially launched the Galaxy S25 series at the Unpacked 2025 event. This new series includes three standard models: the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra, with starting prices as low as $800.

Samsung has integrated several cutting-edge AI features into this latest lineup. The Galaxy S25 series phones come equipped with advanced local AI capabilities, featuring multimodal functions and personalized assistance. Notably, all three models in the Galaxy S25 series are powered by a custom version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform for Galaxy, jointly developed by Qualcomm and Samsung.

In terms of user interface, the Galaxy S25 series adopts an intuitive AI-driven interface and runs on the One UI 7 operating system. Additionally, these devices include the built-in Galaxy AI assistant, capable of interpreting text, voice, images, and videos to offer users a more natural experience. Users can easily find photos, adjust font sizes, and more through voice commands. The series also supports real-time translation and interpretation for 20 languages, along with new call transcription and summarization features.

Regarding display technology, the Galaxy S25 features a 6.2-inch FHD+ screen, the Galaxy S25 Plus boasts a 6.7-inch QHD+ display, while the Galaxy S25 Ultra is equipped with a 6.9-inch QHD+ panel. All three models have a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth visual experiences.

In camera specifications, all three Galaxy S25 models share similar front-facing cameras, each featuring a 12MP sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and an 80-degree field of view. On the rear, both the Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus feature a triple-camera setup, including a 12MP ultra-wide lens, a 50MP wide-angle lens, and a 10MP telephoto lens. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S25 Ultra steps it up with a quad-camera array, adding a 200MP wide-angle lens, a 50MP telephoto lens, and another 10MP telephoto lens.

For storage and memory options, the Galaxy S25 series offers various configurations. The Galaxy S25 comes with 12GB of RAM and two storage capacities: 128GB and 256GB. The Galaxy S25 Plus also has 12GB of RAM but offers larger storage options of 256GB and 512GB. The Galaxy S25 Ultra provides 12GB of RAM, with storage capacities ranging from 256GB to 1TB.

In terms of battery life, the Galaxy S25 is powered by a 4000mAh battery, the Galaxy S25 Plus by a 4900mAh battery, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra by a robust 5000mAh battery. Finally, pricing for the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra starts at $800, $1000, and $1300, respectively.
