Innovator in the field of artificial intelligence, Stability AI, has announced that its revolutionary AI technology for generating text and video content is now officially available on the Discord platform, providing users with a new creative experience. The newly launched Stable Artisan Discord bot service has received enthusiastic support from a wide range of users.

Stability AI has been providing developers with access to its core Stable Diffusion model through an API. The weights for the core model are also available on HuggingFace. Until February 22nd of this year, Stable Diffusion could also be used through the Clipdrop web service, which is now owned by the startup company Jasper. On the other hand, Stable Video can still be used through the StableVideo.com website owned and operated by Stability AI.

"The initial launch of Stable Artisan will provide us with an opportunity to monitor user behavior and validate the current functionality and operations of the Discord bot against our standards before we start adding more features," said Christian Laforte, Co-CEO and CTO of Stability AI.

Using Stable Artisan does not require membership, but it does require payment. Stable Artisan is a paid service with a 3-day free trial period.

The service offers various plans, ranging from the standard plan at $9 per month with 900 points, to the premium plan at $99 per month with 1200 points.

Stability AI's API uses a point system to determine the value of image generation. Each SD3 image is worth 6.5 points, while generating with the older but still capable Stable Diffusion image core model is only worth 3 points. Videos are priced at 20 points per generation.

Laforte stated that to access Stable Artisan, users can create an account on the Stability AI website and then join the company's Discord server to start using it.

Stability AI also has a membership system, which was announced at the end of 2023. Laforte stated that the Stable Artisan service is currently not associated with Stability AI membership.

What can you do with Stable Artisan Discord bot?

Stable Artisan is not just basic image generation. It also has various editing and customization features, some of which are similar to the features previously provided by Stability AI when operating the Clipdrop web service.

Features include:

• Search and Replace: This repair service allows users to identify objects in images using simple language prompts. The identified objects are automatically segmented and replaced with the requested objects specified in the prompts, without the need for masks.
• Background Removal: This feature removes the background while preserving the foreground content.
• Creative Upscaling: Users can upscale low-resolution or low-quality images to 4K resolution.
• Extension: The extension service expands the content of an image by inserting additional elements in any direction, seamlessly filling the extended space.
• Sketch Control: This allows users to convert rough hand-drawn sketches into high-quality images and have precise control over them.
• Structure Control: This feature allows users to generate images while maintaining the structure of the input image.

Stable Assistant

While the new Stable Artisan service provides many users with a more convenient way to access Stability AI's image generation models, there are more features to come.

As of today, Stable Artisan does not offer access to Stable Audio. Last month, Stability AI introduced Stable Audio 2.0, which is currently available through the API and the StableAudio.com website. Stability AI also has several other code and text generation models, including Stable Code and Stable LM, which are not available on Stable Artisan.

However, Stability AI is exploring a larger concept of a conversational chatbot called Stable Assistant, which was announced to enter the testing phase last month when SD3 became available. Stable Assistant is a web-based friendly chatbot that uses Stability AI's text-to-image and Large Language Model (LLM) technologies to assist users in completing a range of tasks through natural language conversations.

With the launch of the Stable Artisan service, Stability AI's influence in the field of AI image generation is expected to expand, providing users with a more convenient way to access and opening up possibilities for more innovative applications.
