According to the latest report from Forbes, several key members of the Stable Diffusion core team have left Stability AI. This personnel change was officially announced by Stability AI's CEO Emad Mostaque during last week's all-hands meeting, and it has been confirmed by attending employees and other insiders. Previously, Stability AI has experienced frequent changes in its executive team due to a sharp decline in cash reserves. Now, the departure of the Stable Diffusion core team is undoubtedly another blow to this startup company. The rapid popularity of the Stable Diffusion model once ignited enthusiasm in the field of AI painting and helped Stability AI raise over $100 million in funding shortly after the product launch from well-known investment firms Coatue and Lightspeed. However, with Stability AI's high-profile promotion, the deep integration between Stable Diffusion and Stability AI has also caused many misunderstandings, with many people mistakenly believing that Stable Diffusion is Stability AI's proprietary model. Earlier this month, Midjourney even banned all Stability AI employees from using its platform, as Stability AI employees were accused of scraping data from the platform in early March, resulting in nearly 24 hours of service interruption.
