Anthropic launches Claude Enterprise to compete with rivals

Anthropic, an artificial intelligence company, is launching Claude Enterprise, a high-end service aimed at competing with chatbot rivals.

Anthropic stated in a press release that Claude Enterprise will offer "an expanded 500,000-context window, larger usage capacity, and native GitHub integration," along with enterprise-level security features to ensure the safety of user data and work.

Claude's subscription updates are designed to compete with OpenAI's commercial solution, ChatGPT Enterprise, which is already on the market and plans to offer group subscriptions through the ChatGPT team.

Targeting larger teams and projects

Anthropic announced in a press release for Claude Enterprise that the service will be an expansion of the existing Claude Team plan. Claude Enterprise is essentially a higher-capacity AI assistant that allows for more messaging with Claude, has the ability to handle bulk uploads (from 100-page documents to 100,000 lines of code), and integrates with GitHub to enable "engineering teams to brainstorm, iterate on new features, train engineers, and debug issues" alongside their code repositories.

Anthropic states that Claude Enterprise will not train on customer data as OpenAI has promised potential teams. Claude Enterprise will also utilize Claude's Artifacts feature to assist with handling larger projects for teams.

Anthropic has not yet set a price for Claude Enterprise. TechCrunch spoke with Scott White, the product lead at Anthropic, who confirmed that the price for Claude Enterprise will be higher than the current $30 per month fee for Claude Teams.
