April 2nd, Alibaba Cloud is actively promoting internal AI programming innovation. With the help of the Tongyi Lingmao platform, programmers can code, review, debug, and optimize more efficiently. It is worth mentioning that Alibaba Cloud has officially assigned an employee number, AI001, to Tongyi Lingmao, symbolizing its important position within the company.

According to insiders from Alibaba Cloud, 20% of the company's code will be completed by Tongyi Lingmao in the future. However, this does not mean that programmers will be replaced. On the contrary, programmers will be freed from tedious basic work and will be able to focus more on system design and core business development, thereby improving overall research and development efficiency.

In traditional development models, programmers spend a lot of time each day dealing with repetitive code writing, debugging optimization, and code commenting tasks, which undoubtedly limits their investment in core business code writing. However, the introduction of Tongyi Lingmao provides a solution to this problem. Within Alibaba Cloud, Tongyi Lingmao has been widely used as a code assistant, assisting programmers in completing various development tasks.

Take API development testing as an example, Tongyi Lingmao can shorten the originally required tens of minutes of manual test writing time to seconds, saving programmers more than 70% of the test code workload. This achievement is remarkable and indicates the huge potential of AI programming in improving development efficiency.

In order to better promote Tongyi Lingmao, Alibaba Cloud also plans to widely deploy Tongyi Lingmao plugins internally, covering mainstream development tools such as JetBrains IDEs and Visual Studio Code for all employees to use. This initiative will fully unleash the capabilities of Tongyi Lingmao and further enhance Alibaba Cloud's research and development capabilities.

It is worth mentioning that Tongyi Lingmao has mastered more than 200 programming languages, including Java, Python, Go, JavaScript, TypeScript, C/C++, C#, demonstrating its powerful cross-language programming capabilities. This achievement is attributed to the joint development between Alibaba Cloud and Tongyi Laboratory. Currently, Tongyi Lingmao has attracted over 2 million downloads, proving its wide recognition in the market.
