Microsoft is providing a detailed overview of a series of new features that will be added to its Copilot service, including the latest model from OpenAI. Copilot will soon receive support for GPT-4 Turbo, an updated version of the DALL-E 3 model, a new code interpreter feature, and deep search functionality within Bing.

Copilot will soon be able to utilize OpenAI's latest GPT-4 Turbo model to respond to queries, which essentially means it will have access to a larger context window of 128K. This larger context window will allow Copilot to better understand queries and provide improved responses. "We are testing this model with selected users and will integrate it widely into Copilot in the coming weeks," explained Yusuf Medhi, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Microsoft.

While waiting for the GPT-4 Turbo model to be integrated into Copilot, Microsoft has now implemented an enhanced version of the DALL-E 3 model in Bing Image Creator and Copilot. "You can now use Copilot to create higher quality and more accurate image responses," said Medhi.

The Microsoft Edge browser, which includes the Copilot sidebar, is also gaining the ability to rewrite sentences in website text input. Additionally, users can now use Copilot in Microsoft Edge to summarize videos they watch online.

The upcoming code interpreter feature may be of interest to coders and developers. This new feature will allow Copilot users to obtain more precise code written for calculations, data analysis, or even AI chatbots. "Copilot will write code in response to your complex natural language requests, run that code in a sandbox environment, and provide you with higher quality responses based on the results," explained Microsoft. "You can also upload and download files to Copilot, allowing you to work with your own data and code as well as Bing search results."

On the Bing side, Microsoft is adding "deep search" to its results. "Deep search leverages the powerful capabilities of GPT-4 to deliver optimized search results for complex topics," said Medhi. "Activating deep search expands search queries into more comprehensive descriptions to deliver more relevant results."
