Google's Upgraded AI Image Generator Now Available
According to VentureBeat, Google has released the latest version of its AI text-to-image generator, Imagen 3, to users in the United States. This tool can be accessed on Google's AI Test Kitchen and is expected to generate images with "richer details, better lighting, and fewer distracting artifacts" compared to Google's previous models.
Google first announced its updated Imagen 3 tool at the May I/O conference, but it seems that it was only recently made available to the public through its Vertex AI platform. Last week, some Reddit users started experimenting with Imagen 3, and Google published a research paper about the tool on Tuesday.
Similar to other AI image generators, Imagen 3 can generate detailed images based on your prompts. You can also edit the images by highlighting a specific part and describing the changes you want to make.
Generating images similar to Sonic using Imagen is relatively easy. It can generate logos of companies like Apple, Macy's, Hershey's, and even Google.
Despite these relatively flexible limitations, Imagen 3 stands in stark contrast to Grok, an AI image generator on Elon Musk's X platform. Grok has been used to generate various wild content, including images with drugs, violence, and public figures engaging in suspicious activities.
However, Google's AI tool has also encountered some issues. Earlier this year, Google discontinued allowing users to generate images through its Gemini AI chatbot because users found that it created historically inaccurate images.
