Last week, Apple unveiled a press release introducing the new iPad Mini. However, the company has even greater plans for this month with the upcoming launch of new Mac computers. As inventory in Apple stores continues to decline, updates for products such as the MacBook Pro, iMac, and Mac mini are anticipated.
According to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, Apple will not host a large-scale event for the new Mac computers similar to its iPhone launches. Instead, Gurman expects the release to be primarily online, though media members will still have opportunities for hands-on experiences.
The report highlights that current inventories of the iMac, Mac mini, and MacBook Pro at Apple retail stores are tight, with products like the Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse, and Magic Trackpad also out of stock. It is expected that the iMac and MacBook Pro will soon be upgraded to the M4 chip, and the Mac mini will receive a comprehensive update as well.
Recently, Apple has not indicated plans to hold a large media event at its headquarters, similar to last year’s "Scary Fast" Mac event and the May "Let Loose" iPad launch. Both events were not conducted live at Apple Park but were instead streamed online to the public, with media invited to small gatherings in cities like New York and London.
On October 24 of last year, Apple announced the "Scary Fast" event, which took place on October 30. Consequently, there is speculation that Apple may soon announce a release event for the new M4 Mac computers. Gurman previously reported that the M4 Mac computers could be launched on November 1.
