At the Honor MagicOS 8.0 launch event, Honor announced the self-developed on-device 7 billion parameter platform-level AI model "Magic Model". This large model will be launched with the Honor Magic 6 smartphone starting tomorrow.

Honor also announced a strategic partnership with Baidu Intelligent Cloud to enable Baidu Intelligent Cloud's Qianfan large model platform to generate professional content in collaboration with the Magic Model.

In addition, Honor announced collaborations with Amap and Hanglv Zongzongheng, allowing these apps to work together with the Magic Model. Upgrades are expected to be rolled out in the second quarter of this year.

Furthermore, Honor announced the opening of the Magic Model to developers and the launch of the Honor Bai Model Ecological Plan, aiming to "gather Chinese AI power, provide developers with broader opportunities, and offer users unprecedented intelligent experiences".

According to the introduction, the Magic Model brings features such as intelligent photo editing, semantic search in the gallery, and drag-and-drop scheduling, all of which run locally on the device.

Zhao Ming stated that "existing operating systems are worth redoing with AI". Currently, most smartphone manufacturers have begun integrating AI models into their own ecosystems, allowing smartphones to learn and optimize more functions, making daily life more convenient for users.

With the support of the AI model, Honor smartphones can achieve natural language understanding, precise gallery search, and instant generation of schedules.

Honor also introduced the "Anytime Door" feature in MagicOS 8.0, which quickly understands the user's real intentions and allows them to switch between different applications with a single click, achieving fast multitasking and bringing a new human-computer interaction experience, breaking the boundaries between systems, services, devices, and people.
