ChatGPT Weekly Active Users Surpass 300 Million; Siri Integration Imminent

At the recent DealBook Summit hosted by The New York Times, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman revealed that ChatGPT has surpassed 300 million weekly active users. This significant milestone was achieved just a few months after reaching 200 million weekly active users in August.

During the summit, Altman stated, "Our product has experienced substantial growth, now boasting over 300 million weekly active users. Users are sending more than a billion messages to ChatGPT each day."

Since its launch in 2022, ChatGPT has rapidly gained popularity. OpenAI has continuously enhanced the platform with new features, including an AI-powered search engine that retrieves and summarizes information from the internet (though the results may not always be accurate), and the new "Canvas" interface, which allows users to easily modify code generated by ChatGPT.

Additionally, Apple plans to integrate ChatGPT directly into Siri as part of the iOS 18.2 update. The version is currently in the testing phase, which is expected to further accelerate the growth of ChatGPT's user base.
