Amazon launches AI shopping assistant Rufus to enhance shopping experience

Amazon's AI shopping assistant Rufus has now fully launched on the Amazon mobile app in the United States, available to all users. Users simply need to tap on the prominent orange and blue icon in the top right corner of the app interface to summon this intelligent assistant. Rufus not only answers user questions and compares product advantages and disadvantages, but also provides real-time updates on order status, greatly enhancing the shopping experience. Going back to February of this year, Rufus initially appeared as a novelty experience for a few users. Today, it has evolved comprehensively, relying on Amazon's rich product data, user reviews, community Q&A, and even the internet information database to accurately respond to user needs. Users can directly ask Rufus specific questions about products, such as "Is this coffee machine easy to clean and maintain?" or seek recommendations for outdoor speakers, or even consult on related products for summer party preparations. In addition, it also serves as a handy order tracking assistant, informing users of the latest updates on their orders. When experiencing the updated Amazon app, we found that Rufus can intelligently recognize user browsing behavior. For example, when a user is interested in the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6, Rufus will proactively ask, "How long can this watch last on a single charge?" and quickly provide an answer of 40 hours. However, unfortunately, it does not specify that this performance is achieved with the always-on display feature turned off, and in actual use, it may be shortened to about 30 hours.
