The Arrival of the First AI-Generated TV Series Streaming Service

If you have always believed that you can create TV shows better than Hollywood, AI will help you validate this theory in the worst possible way. Showrunner is a platform similar to Netflix, where all the content is created entirely by AI. This service is created by Fable Studio, a San Francisco-based startup, and is designed for filmmakers and content creators to produce shows. However, the company claims that if someone desires more episodes, they can create them themselves. "Our vision is to become the Netflix of the AI field," said CEO Edward Saatchi in The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday. "Perhaps you finish watching all the episodes of a show and then click a button to create another episode. You can tell it what the episode should be about, or let AI create it on its own." The initial series of shows on Showrunner are primarily animated. The style of Exit Valley is similar to South Park, and the first episode is already available to watch. However, it is not as impressive and frankly looks bizarre. The animation has minimal movement, the voices sound human but robotic, and it is even difficult to understand the humor. But then again, considering it is all created by AI, these shortcomings are not surprising. Saatchi mentioned that users who want more episodes can edit dialogues and develop scenes through prompts. If someone creates an exceptionally outstanding episode for Showrunner's original shows, it may be adopted, and the creator will receive compensation, revenue sharing, and an IMDB credit. To gain early access to Showrunner, there is a waiting period. The website claims that there are already 50,000 people in the queue, which means you will have to wait for some time before you can start producing and binge-watching your own shows.
