Apple will release iOS 18 next week, bringing a new way to customize the home screen. However, we will have to wait a little longer to get the Apple Intelligence feature and the upgraded version of Siri.
Apple has announced the release date of iOS 18, which is just a few days away. This update will be launched on September 16th and will bring a new way to customize your iPhone's home screen and lock screen interface.
In iOS 18, you can freely rearrange the apps and widgets on the home screen and change their appearance. Apple will also introduce a redesigned control center, a new password management app, and support for satellite messages. Other updates include new text effects in messages, an improved photo app, and a new way to organize the inbox in the mail app.
However, this update does not include the Apple Intelligent Assistant feature that will be launched in the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16 series. These upcoming tools will help you rewrite and summarize text, and generate images through an AI-driven image playground. These features, along with a more conversational Siri, will make their debut in the public beta of iOS 18.1 in October.
Apple has also confirmed that macOS Sequoia, watchOS 11, and visionOS 2 will also be released on September 16th. macOS Sequoia adds iPhone mirroring functionality, watchOS 11 brings new training features, and visionOS 2 includes an ultra-wide virtual Mac display. As for tvOS 18, there is currently no news.
