Whether or not you can use the GPT-4 Turbo model in Bing Chat depends on your luck. However, Microsoft has stated that they will make it available to more people within a few weeks.

It is worth mentioning that Microsoft does not favor specific accounts or regions, as the selection process is completely random. They refer to it as "A/B" testing.

How to determine if you can use Bing Chat's GPT-4 Turbo?

The easiest way is to open Bing.com/chat, start a new topic, and then view the page source code. Using the "Find" function in Edge or Chrome, search for "dlgpt4t".

If you find "dlgpt4t" in the page source code, you have access to the latest OpenAI model.

On mobile devices, you can upload an image (preferably an abstract image) and ask Bing Chat to talk about emotions to test if you qualify for the free ChatGPT-4 Turbo.

Unlike the older models, Bing Chat's GPT-4 Turbo can recognize and discuss emotions.

Bing Chat Plugin and No Search Mode

Microsoft wants to keep the information from ChatGPT up-to-date, so it defaults to using Bing search. However, with the new plugin tags, you can now disable the "Search" plugin and use Bing Chat without relying on Bing.

When the "Search" plugin is disabled, Bing Chat will not search for answers within Bing search.

If there is no search plugin, Bing relies solely on its training data. If you ask Bing Chat about events between January and April 2023 and it can provide answers, then you have access to the GPT-4 Turbo model.
