Match Group Announces Integration of ChatGPT for Press Release Composition
Match Group and OpenAI have signed a collaboration agreement, according to TechCrunch. The dating app giant will purchase over 1000 ChatGPT enterprise licenses for its employees.
The company, which owns apps such as Tinder, Match, OKCupid, Hinge, and PlentyOfFish, outlined its plans in its fourth-quarter financial report. It aims to leverage artificial intelligence technology across various applications to "improve our existing products and create disruptive new products and user experiences that meet the evolving needs and expectations of our target audience, driving user growth."
This agreement appears to be the first step for the company to realize these plans, as it hopes its employees can use and interact with the technology, which is expected to enhance the user experience by 2024.
To celebrate the agreement and align with its brand image, the press release announcing the deal was assisted by ChatGPT and even included a quote from ChatGPT itself, stating, "I'm excited to collaborate with Match Group. We're not just breaking the ice; we're melding it and reshaping how work gets done."
The press release also claims that ChatGPT is committed to being "a valuable assistant" for employees.
How will Match Group employees use ChatGPT?
The dating app giant states that it will use ChatGPT-4 to assist with coding, designing, analyzing, building templates, and other daily tasks, including communication, hence the humorous tone of the press release.
However, the company emphasizes that only trained and authorized employees can access OpenAI's technology to protect company data.
To gain access to these tools, employees must undergo training, with a focus on understanding the capabilities, limitations, and responsible use of the technology.
While Match Group has not confirmed the cost of this agreement, the company believes that using OpenAI's tools will make the team more efficient.
