ChatGPT opens advanced features to free users

Now, for users who use ChatGPT for free, they can experience a range of features that were previously only available to paid users, such as custom GPTs, data analysis charts, photo questioning, and other features added to GPT-4o in early May.

In the past, these features, such as model and web interaction, detailed data analysis, custom chart creation, visual recognition, file uploading, enhanced memory, and custom GPTs, were only available to ChatGPT Plus, Teams, and Enterprise users. Now, all ChatGPT users can easily access these advanced features.

Although free users can now access and use custom GPTs, which were previously only available to paid users, they still cannot create their own custom GPTs for the time being. Previously, we have experienced various custom versions of ChatGPT, such as on-demand customized dictionaries and IKEA shopping guides. It is worth mentioning that those who create these custom GPTs also have the opportunity to participate in OpenAI's revenue sharing program, which has been in trial operation since March this year.

Free users can now also enjoy data analysis and chart creation features, which means they can connect data from OneDrive and Google Drive to ChatGPT for faster data analysis and customized charts.

However, paid users still retain a significant advantage: they have fewer restrictions on messages and conversations. When free users reach the usage limit of GPT-4o, their service will automatically be downgraded to GPT-3.5.

But whether users are paid or free, they will not experience a controversial feature - Sky Voice. OpenAI has discontinued this voice because it sounded too similar to Scarlett Johansson's voice performance in the movie "Her". However, other voice options on ChatGPT are still available for users to choose from.
