Microsoft Plans to Integrate OpenAI's Sora with Copilot
In a recent Twitter exchange, Mikhail Parakhin, Chief Advertising and Online Services Officer at Microsoft, hinted that OpenAI's Sora will eventually be integrated with Copilot, but this will take some time.
This news came in response to a user's Twitter inquiry about whether Sora will come to Copilot, to which Parakhin responded, "Eventually, but it will take time."
Sora is a large language model chatbot developed by OpenAI; you can input any detailed word prompts you want, and the AI model will return highly detailed videos within 60 seconds.
Integrating these two could create a powerful tool for developers, enabling them to leverage the capabilities of both AI models in their work.
OpenAI states that Sora is taught to use a simplified network for videos. This network starts with regular videos and makes them smaller, retaining only the most important parts. Sora then learns to create new videos from these simplified ones.
However, Microsoft seems to still be working on the technical aspects of this integration. Considering that Sora was only recently showcased to the public, it will take some time before it can be used in Copilot.
It is worth noting that Parakhin's tweet did not provide a specific timeline for the integration of Sora and Copilot. However, his response indicates that Microsoft is committed to eventually making this happen.
