Microsoft Copilot Launches ChatGPT Features, Offers Free Trials to Select Users
The highly anticipated "GPTs" powered by ChatGPT are now available to the public in the free version of Microsoft Copilot. The tech giant announced that the GPTs feature is not limited to Pro subscriptions and is now fully rolled out. If you have already tried it, you should have experienced the charm of GPTs.
Unlike previous versions, Copilot GPTs no longer require a Microsoft account or Edge browser. Based on our testing, users can easily access GPTs in Google Chrome without any login process. Although the current functionality of GPTs is still relatively basic, such as fitness, design, and cooking modules, they are all optimized for specific topics.
Take Microsoft Designer GPT as an example, it can generate more creative images for users using DALL-E 3 technology. This is thanks to the optimization of Designer GPT in applying additional knowledge and creativity.
OpenAI revealed in its blog that GPTs are not just simple chatbots, they integrate various instructions, additional knowledge, and various skills. This means that GPTs can be customized according to user needs, and Microsoft's free provision of this powerful feature will undoubtedly attract more users.
Currently, Microsoft is testing the following GPTs:
- Copilot: Provides users with a balanced A1 and web experience.
- Designer: Transforms text into images.
- Vacation Planner: Plans travel itineraries for users.
- Cooking Assistant: Provides recipes and cooking advice.
- Fitness Coach: Develops fitness plans for users and provides health tips.
These GPTs not only enhance the Copilot experience but Microsoft also plans to launch more GPTs in the coming weeks to meet user demands.
Microsoft is testing the Copilot GPT Builder feature, which allows users with Copilot Pro access to build and customize their own Copilot GPT. This process is similar to the GPT builder in ChatGPT Plus, where users can personalize their GPT through answering questions and receiving direct prompts.
It is worth noting that these GPTs were originally only available in ChatGPT Plus, but Microsoft's introduction of them into the free version of Copilot undoubtedly expands its user base.
However, Microsoft also stated that it will continue to provide ChatGPT GPT-4 Turbo in Copilot, but only during non-peak hours. On the other hand, Copilot Pro subscribers will always enjoy the premium services of GPT-4 and GPT-4 Turbo.
In comparison, the Pro subscription offers more advantages to users. For example, if users want to fully leverage the potential of DALL-E 3, Copilot Pro may be more suitable as it provides 100 accelerated runs per day and faster performance.
Overall, the Pro subscription offers a range of excellent features and experiences for advanced users.
