The Claude 3 series from Anthropic is now available on Amazon's AI development platform. Following the public debut of Claude 3 Sonnet and Haiku on Amazon Bedrock over a month ago, Anthropic's cutting-edge large language model Opus has also successfully joined this family. This means that Amazon has become the first hosting service platform to offer these three AI models.
In previous rankings, Opus was honored as the "Best AI Model" in the Chatbot Arena. However, this week OpenAI's GPT-4 Turbo once again claimed this crown.
Now, developers can use Claude 3 Opus to build generative AI applications, easily achieve task automation, develop revenue workflows in user-friendly applications, perform complex financial forecasting, and even drive research and development processes.
Like other models of Claude 3, Anthropic's Opus supports up to 200,000 tokens and has language capabilities in English, Japanese, Spanish, and other languages. On Amazon Bedrock, the pricing for this model is $0.015 per 1,000 input tokens and $0.075 per 1,000 output tokens. Compared to Sonnet and Haiku, Opus is indeed slightly higher in price, but this is matched by its powerful functionality.
With Amazon's fully managed service, enterprise customers can confidently leverage the advanced features of Opus. After all, such a powerful model requires a lot of maintenance and resource support, which many companies find difficult to handle on their own. Amazon's rich experience in cloud computing and infrastructure undoubtedly provides strong support for the stable operation of Opus.
Although Opus is now fully available, Amazon has stated that the model is currently only available in the US West (Oregon) region.
